duplicate an application from Mr. E. Jones, Senior Board-

-ing Officer in the Harbour Department, for promotion in

the Colonial Service,

years in the service of this Colony, and the Harbour Master

reports that he has performed his duties with great zeal

and ability, and that he considers him most deserving of

promotion should a vacancy oceur in one of the posts

habitually held by an Officer of the Mercantile Marine.
